Description
McCloud High School will provide an opportunity for students to become positive, informed individuals that have learned how to learn and bring value to society and therefore are able to obtain value for themselves. This will be accomplished by providing a learning environment that can adjust to fit many students’ needs. A positive relationship approach will be used by the staff to provide support for all students. The realization that success of the staff and the students are integrated together and as we improve the relationship with our students and provide them with the tools they need for success we can all achieve more together.

Description

Description

Provides counseling services for individuals, couples, children, and families, along with group counseling and parenting classes. Utilizes licensed psychologists, marriage and family therapists (LMFTs), clinical social workers (LCSWs), professional clinical counselors (LPCCs), and registered interns who are supervised by a licensed professional.

Provides one-on-one personal advocacy support for sexuality, pregnancy and parenting related concerns. Offers services in Mt. Shasta and Yreka. Volunteer advocates provide compassionate care for sexuality, pregnancy and parenting related concerns, including:

Parenting support via wide-ranging curriculum, books, and pamphlets and a confidential setting to learn and discuss concerns

Self-test pregnancy test availability (staff does not diagnose)

Practical resources such as baby items, clothing, blankets and car seats (as available)

Diapers and wipes once per week, one package per child

Personal emotional support for women, men, moms, dads, grandparents and other family members
